AFC Telford United have signed midfielder Jonathan Royle on a more permanent basis from National League side Southport.

Royle joined the Bucks on a three-month loan deal at the beginning of September having played just three games for Southport this season.

He joined Port in the summer from Wrexham, where he made one appearance last season, and two in total.

Royle was born in Bodelwyddan and is a midfielder who also had two seasons on loan at Colwyn Bay as a centre-back.

He suffered a lengthy hamstring injury last season which restricted his appearances to just one start for Wrexham and ended the season on loan at National League North outfit Hednesford Town.
