Southport have confirmed that they will not be playing their upcoming fixture with Hereford.
The National League North side agreed earlier this week with Curzon Ashton that their midweek game would not go ahead, as the impasse over continuing the current season without grant support rumbles on for a number of clubs.
Southport have been vocal in their belief that taking on significant debt to complete the season while supporters are absent, along with further risking safety of players and staff, is not a viable course of action.
The club have said today: “We can confirm that our game at Herford on Saturday 20 February will not be played.
“Southport FC will maintain this position of not playing any further fixtures until at least the result of the National League resolution is known.”
