Dagenham and Redbridge have announced the signing of Daniel Sparkes from National League side Torquay United on a two-year deal
The former Seagulls midfielder made 36 appearances for Torquay last season, scoring six goals for the Club.
The midfielder started his career at Southern League Premier side Histon FC in 2009, after spending three years at the Club and captaining the side towards the end of his time there, he moved to Braintree Town in 2012.
Sparkes joined Torquay in the summer of last year after impressing the Seagulls’ manager Kevin Nicholson for his contribution at Braintree Town, helping the side reach the National League play-offs making 40 appearances for the side and scoring six goals. In that very season, he scored a hat trick against Torquay which first caught the eye of Nicholson who then decided to make the move for Sparkes at the end of the campaign.
