Gateshead have sent young winger Adam Wrightson on loan to Evo-Stik Northern Premier League title challengers Blyth Spartans.

The twenty year old winger has spent time on loan at EBAC Northern Premier League club South Shields this season, and will now step up the pyramid to spend a month with the Croft Park club.

Wrightson signed an eighteen month deal with Gateshead in January 2016 after breaking into the first team squad in October 2015.

He made his Heed debut in their FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round defeat against Worcester City and so far has made fifteen appearances for the Tynesiders.

His maiden season with the club was cut short by a shoulder injury, but he will hope to impress Heed boss Neil Aspin during his month with the Spartans.
