Spennymoor Town’s Craig Ellison and Lewis King, who recently signed contracts with the first team, have been loaned out to Shildon and Ashington respectively.

Both players, along with Cieran Jackson, have been involved with Jason Ainsley’s squad this season, with King featuring on the bench for the opening game against Chester.

Manager Jason Ainsley feels both Ellison and King will benefit from gaining experience in the lower leagues:

“We feel that both Lewis and Craig going out for a month will take them to the next step of their development. Playing in a tough league against experienced players will certainly bring them on both mentally and physically.

“We will be monitoring them closely by speaking to Bobby and Bowsa on a regular basis, and we will be going to watch the lads play to keep an eye on their development.”
