Spennymoor Town forward Kevin Hayes has joined Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One East side Marske United on a one-month loan deal.

Hayes, 19, who moved to The Brewery Field from Stockton Town in the summer, has made three substitute appearances this season.

Marske United are currently 5th in their division and just one point off league leaders Ossett United.

Spennymoor Town manager Jason Ainsley feels the current form of the side has been a big factor in Hayes’ limited opportunities: “Due to the current form of the lads playing in Kevin’s position, we feel a month of getting regular games will benefit both parties when he comes back.

“I know Marske as a club, and their manager Carl Jarrett will look after him. Kevin has been excellent in training and is going to play a big part in the season.”
