Spennymoor Town first-teamer Cieran Jackson has joined Northern League Division One outfit Seaham Red Star on loan.
The three-month deal starts this week and Jason Ainsley will be hoping Jackson will flourish, playing against his Spennymoor teammates Lewis King and Craig Ellison in the Northern League.
“Playing in a tough league against experienced players will certainly bring them on physically and mentally,” he said when the deals were finalised. “We’ll be watching them closely and hopefully this can take them to the next stage of their development.”
The trio all signed first team contracts at the start of this season and had strong pre-seasons. All three players hit headlines in their final season with the Under 18s last year. Jackson had the honour of being called up to England Schoolboys and Kind and Ellison signed six-month contracts with Burnley.
