New Chesterfield signing Alex Whittle has praised the coaching and man-management skills of Spireites boss James Rowe.
Speaking in Monday’s press conference, the left-back said of his former Gloucester City manager:
“I get on with the gaffer quite well. I think I did well for him at Gloucester, so I bought into what he brings and what he does.
“I think he gets the best out of yourself, both as a person and as a player. You can talk to him on a normal level outside of football, and on the pitch, it’s down to business.
“When he came in for me, I was delighted.”
