Eastleigh have announced that Gazz Davison has joined the club as head of community.
This is a new role that has been created due to the success and growth of the club and the volume of teams now representing Eastleigh FC.
Davison will come in and oversee several different aspects of the community and junior sides. This will allow all the teams to have a dedicated point of contact within the football club as we look to build on the foundations that have been put in place over recent years.
After being a supporter of Eastleigh for over 10 years, Davison is delighted to join the team. He went on to say: “With the rise of the club on and off the field it is a challenge I am looking forward to. With such a big catchment area, there is a lot of work to ensure the community is aware of Eastleigh Football Club and for us to engage with them. Community work is a major part of the club`s vision and I would like to utilise that to raise our profile.”
Chairman Stewart Donald said: “The club over past few seasons have introduced numerous community based groups. If we are to maximise the club`s potential and the benefit it can bring the community then it was essential we recruit someone of his calibre. It is a vital role and we are all looking forward to having Gazz on board to take our work in the community to the next level”.
