Eastbourne Borough have announced that Jamie Taylor will remain at the club – joining The Sports following release from league rivals Margate

The 33-year-old, who shot to fame after bagging 105 goals in 135 games for Horsham before later going on to enjoy spells at Grays Athletic, Dagenham & Redbridge and AFC Wimbledon.

The prolific striker joined Sutton United in 2013 from National League side Lincoln City where he had been their top scorer.

He moved to Margate in the summer of 2015 on a deal that initially ran to the end of the season.

Taylor returned to Boro on loan last month.

As Taylor put pen-to-paper, manager Tommy Widdrington said: “I am delighted that we have secured Jamie’s services on a more permanent basis. He brings experience at this and higher level, and something different to the squad. Of course he is well known to all at Priory Lane and his popularity is testament to him personally and to his performances in a Boro shirt.”
