St Albans City manager Ian Allinson has today confirmed that winger Zane Banton and commanding midfielder David Diedhiou have both been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Banton was injured during the match against Chippenham at the weekend and an x-ray in the early hours of Sunday morning revealed the talented attacker has broken his fibula, thus ending his involvement in a City shirt for the rest of the campaign.

Diedhiou is also out for the next 8-10 weeks having broken his hand during the 2-0 victory over Weston-super-Mare last Tuesday evening.

The Saints manager has stepped up his attempt to bolster the ranks following this double-blow for the team but admits he may have to settle for the squad he has.
