Vanarama National League South club St Albans City have announced the tragic death of a long-serving supporter, who passed away at Clarence Park on Tuesday morning.

Clive Churchhouse died after what the club say was an “accident” at the ground.
Club chairman Lawrence Levy says the club is shocked and saddened at the passing of one of their most longest-serving supporters.

In a statement released on the club’s official website Levy said “We are all completely devastated by the news,”

“Clive was a much loved character around the club with a big personality who regularly helped out at the ground and on away trips with the team.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Valerie, daughter Sallyann, son Keith and his grandchildren as well as his wide circle of friends at this very sad time.”

As a mark of respect last night’s friendly against Luton Town was called off.

The thoughts of everyone at Non-League Daily are with Clive’s friends and family and everyone at St Albans City.
