22 long months have passed since Josh Dawkin suffered his horror tibia and fibula break away to Chippenham on the final day of the season.
It’s been a long road to recovery for the attacking midfielder and St Ives Town say they are delighted to bring some good news.
Dawkin has been increasing his rehab since pre-season and has now been in full-contact training since just before Christmas. Dawkin and club physio Jess Guthrie have made the decision the next step is to now get game time.
Dawkin is expected to sign on a dual registration with Soham Town Rangers.
