St Neots Town have named former Southend United striker Barry Corr as their new manager.
The 34-year-old, who is development coach at Cambridge United, takes up the role as part of ‘a new strategic collaboration’ between the two clubs.
Cambridge say it will allow young players progressing from the club’s academy to benefit from ‘an additional pathway of gaining crucial experience of men’s football.’
Ex-Sheffield Wednesday and Swindon Town player Corr will be assisted by the existing St Neots Town coaching staff and the link will be closely overseen by Cambridge United Head of Football, Ben Strang.
St Neots director Iain Parr said: “We are delighted to announce Barry Corr as our new first-team manager. Barry will work closely with our current coaching staff, Sean Greygoose, Matty Joseph and Gary Dean, and will have support behind the scenes from DOF Matt Clements.
“We have always had a strong relationship with Cambridge United and the new partnership will see us add strength and depth to the club both on and off the pitch.”
