Stafford Rangers are hoping to tie up a permanent deal for hat-trick hero Massiah McDonald.

The on-loan Coalville Town striker scored his fifth goal in three games since joining Boro on a one-month deal in Saturday’s 3-1 FA Trophy victory over South Shields.

But the Montserrat international remains a Ravens player, and manager Neil Kitching says a dialogue needs to be opened up between the clubs to respect all parties.

“We’ve got another 10 days with him, and we’ll see,” said the Boro boss.

“We’ve had a dialogue with Coalville, and I get on well with Tommy there. They’re very honest people and in 10 days’ time, we’ll have another chat.

“We’d like to do something to keep him permanently, because he’s done well, but he’s not our player.”
