AFC Totton boss Louis Langdown is confident there won’t be more bad news for the Stags this week following yesterday’s 4-0 home defeat to Evo-Stik South West leaders Taunton Town.

Having turned down Salisbury’s advances earlier this season, Stags striker Craig Feeney is on the wish list of an, as yet, unnamed National League South club. Langdown will not stand in Feeney’s way of talking to what he describes as “an excellent Conference South side who conduct their business professionally.”

But he is extremely hopeful that the Fawley-based 25-year-old will not be tempted to move on.

“From the club’s point of view, we don’t believe Feens will go anywhere,” he said. “We think he’ll remain with us for the season.

“He’s a loyal lad and I’ll go on record as saying we don’t think we’ll lose him. Feens has had a couple of approaches this year and turned them down. He’s happy where he is.”
