Paul Barnes has resigned from his role as Staines Town manager.

Barnes took over last February and departs with the club currently 2nd in the Isthmian South Central Division, in a disrupted 2020/21 campaign.

A statement from the club reads: “Paul has decided that the time is right for him to leave his position in order for him to commit to other projects.

“We would like to thank him for his work during his ten months at Wheatsheaf Park and wish him all the best for the future.

“The club will begin the search for a new first-team manager immediately.”
