Ebbsfleet United have signed midfielder James Ball.
The 23-year-old Bolton-born box-to-box player signs from Stevenage after spending last season in League Two.
Ball began his career in Bolton’s academy, playing on loan for Hyde United, before he went on to represent Northwich Victoria and Stalybridge Celtic.
His big breakthrough came with Stockport County, when he signed at Edgeley Park in 2016. His form there saw him sign a two-year contract extension inside his first six months and he was a key fixture in the club’s central midfield berth.
He managed seven goals in County’s final 11 games of the 2017/18 season to help them into the National League North play-offs, making 48 appearances in all competitions during that campaign.
