Coalville Town have announced that Adam Stevens has been appointed First Team Manager with immediate effect.
He will be joined by Assistant Manager Danny Martin. The pair need no introduction to Ravens supporters, having played for the club and being part of the side that reached the FA Cup First Round proper in 2004.
Stevens then took over as Manager for the first time ahead of the 2007/08 season. Steady progress saw promotion in 2011 along with an appearance at Wembley in the FA Vase Final.
Having narrowly missed out on promotion for two seasons, he left in September 2014, and after a period out of the game joined Grantham Town, whom he transformed into one of the best footballing sides in the league and got them to this season’s play-off final.
Chairman Glyn Rennocks said: “We have been through a very thorough interview process and I was pleasantly surprised at the calibre of people that applied, I’m sure many of them would have proved to be a good appointment but along with Luke and Steve who carried out the interviews with me we were unanimously in favour of appointing Adam and we are delighted he has accepted the challenge of taking the club to the next level.”
Stevens said: “As a Coalville person I am delighted to be back here at my hometown club. I am looking forward to getting started on shaping the squad ahead of pre-season, meeting the players and getting to know the supporters again.”
