Stockport County owner Mark Stott has been thanking supporters for their continued show of commitment to the club.

Local businessman Stott completed his takeover of the Edgeley Park club back in January, and has overseen the beginning of an exciting new chapter for County. Despite the obvious uncertainty and difficulties surrounding the game, Stott has shared his optimism about the team’s chances in 2020/21.

As part of a message thanking supporters on the club’s website, Stott said: “We’re extremely excited about this season with the move to full-time, the new training centre and 11 new signings putting us in a great position to push for promotion.

“We understand it won’t all be plain sailing, as our opening game at Torquay demonstrated, but I’m extremely confident we’ve got the talent, the infrastructure and determination to achieve our goals.”
