Hallmark Security League Premier Division club Padiham have moved quickly to appoint a new management team.
Liam Smith and his assistants Dixon Lambert and Al Norwood resigned earlier this month following a defeat at Winsford United.
The Storks have announced the appointment of Adam Morning as manager with immediate effect.
Although his first managerial role, ex-Padiham player Morning brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to the role.
As well as Padiham, Morning has also worn the colours of Ashton United, Salford City, Droylsden, Northwich Victoria, Skelmersdale United, Stalybridge Celtic, Colne as a striker, having started out at Manchester City.
Joining Morning as assistant-manager is another former Padiham player and skipper, Michael Morrison.
Like Morning, local lad Morrison also brings a similar wealth of experience to the club.
Morrison has most recently been with NWCL First Division North side Longridge Town and also played for Nelson as well as the Storks.
The pair are keen to get started and will be in charge for tomorrow`s home game against 1874 Northwich and will take advice from Michael Worthington, who stepped in as caretaker-manager before he resumes his role as manager of the Storks` under-23 side.
