Stourbridge have announced the departure of manager Ian Long.

The club say Long’s departure is by mutual consent following a meeting this morning with chairman Andy Pountney and vice-chairman Andy Bullingham. Long was appointed back in May and he leaves the Glassboys 7th in the BetVictor Southern Premier Central, a point off Coalville Town in the last play-off place.

A club statement reads: “The club wishes to place on record our thanks to Ian for his efforts during his time as manager of Stourbridge Football Club, which saw the Glassboys reach the first round proper of the FA Cup earlier this season.

“We sincerely wish him all the best for the future.¬†Further announcements will be made by the club in due course.”
