The Board of Directors at Stourbridge FC have issued the following statement concerning last Saturday’s derby match.

‘The club wishes to express its anger over the events of Saturday where 2 flares/smoke bombs were thrown during the course of the match, the second resulting in a lady supporting Halesowen Town suffering burns to the neck.

Stourbridge FC will work alongside our close neighbours Halesowen Town , K2 Security Services and West Midlands Police in identifying those who are responsible for throwing the flares.

The club will ban those responsible and wish to remind people that throwing a flare can result in a custodial sentence.

The club is now awaiting reports from the FA and the Police.
