FC Halifax Town are hopeful of having experienced striker Jake Hyde available again soon.

The ex-Barnet and Woking man joined the club last August and had been on an impressive scoring run in December.

He was then sidelined with a hamstring injury but the club say the 30-year-old has returned to light training and is due back with the rest of the squad next week.

Defender Jay Benn is also set to link back up with Pete Wild’s side next week.

Kian Spence, meanwhile, has a torn meniscus, with the club awaiting news of an expected timeframe for his return, while it is hoped that Matty Stenson will undergo ACL surgery early next month.
