Nantwich Town’s young forward Joe Malkin has signed a contract with the club.

Malkin joined the club in the summer from Cammell Laird and has shown plenty of promise since his arrival, scoring five goals in December as well as providing the first eleven with a great amount of ability when called upon.

The twenty-year-old striker signs a contract with a two-year option, securing his future at the club as the Dabbers look to continue their push for promotion.

Upon his decision to commit himself to the club, Malkin said:

“It’s an exciting time for me, I can only thank Dave [Cooke] for giving me the chance to be where I am now.

“It’s only a bonus to be around players with such quality, they’ve taught me a lot since I’ve arrived, and I’m very excited for the future.

“Hopefully we can clinch promotion and test ourselves in the next division up, as the ground and facilities are excellent and most of the players and staff have worked at a higher level.

“I’d like to keep learning and improving and I think that will be best achieved at Nantwich.”
