Chelmsford City boss Rod Stringer spoke to the club’s website ahead of tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup tie away to Corinthian-Casuals.

“I think it’s a must win as we want to go into the next round of the FA Cup. We’re quite aware that you get well rewarded for going into the next round, so we want to make sure that we’re still in the hat for Monday (3rd Qualifying Round draw).

“Confidence is fine at the minute. If you watch the games like I do you will feel that if we eradicated a few of our mistakes and was more clinical in the oppositions box then I don’t think we would have dropped the points that we have so far.

“I can’t say too much about the Hemel [Hempstead Town] game [2-0 loss] because it was unfair numbers for a long time, but I think we showed a reaction on Saturday [vs Chippenham Town] to get back into the game where we possibly even could have won it. It’s really crucial that we stop going behind and having to try climbing a mountain; if only we had taken our chances in front of goal then it becomes a totally different game.”
