AFC Telford United boss Rob Edwards insists his players’ spirits are as high as ever ahead of another huge clash on Saturday.

The Bucks are third bottom in National League North as they prepare to welcome FC United of Manchester to the New Bucks Head. A win would provide a big boost, with them currently four points from safety.

On how the mood has been after a scheduled trip to Spennymoor Town on Tuesday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, Edwards said: “The lads have trained well, they’ve all been working really hard.

“The mood is fine here. They were disappointed to concede late in the game (to draw 2-2 at Tamworth) on Saturday, but they’ve been great as always.

“I’ve been delighted with their attitude and a lot of their performances. We just need results to follow suit now.”
