Weymouth manager Brian Stock voiced his ambition for the Terras to “work smart” in training this season ahead of their latest friendly at home against Exeter City tonight (7pm).
Stock held his first training session with his inherited squad on Thursday, prior to beating Poole 4-0 in a friendly on Saturday.
With Weymouth being one of the few part-time clubs in the National League, Stock feels time spent coaching his players is crucial.
He told Echosport: “The squad is healthy, they’ve had a lot of success over the last two years and the club have done well to maintain the majority of the players.
“Three players were signed almost the day before I joined.
“So they’ve done their homework and brought quality into the side.”
