Wimborne Town are belatedly celebrating promotion to the Evo-Stik South Premier Division.
The Magpies’ hopes of playing at the higher level next season looked to have vanished when they lost the West Division play-off final on penalties to Swindon Supermarine.
But the knock-on effect of Shaw Lane’s withdrawal from the Northern League Premier Division has worked in favour of the Dorset outfit who will fill the vacancy at Step 3 of the non-League pyramid.
Banbury United will be laterally moved to the Southern League Central while Hednesford Town will switch to the Northern Premier League. FC Romania are promoted to Step 4 (Isthmian League North), while north Hampshire outfit Fleet Town will be laterally moved to the Southern League West.
