FA Cup heroes Sutton United have won the race to sign striker Adam Coombes from Welling United.
The 25-year-old joined Welling last summer from Bromley and his performances have alerted clubs higher up the football Pyramid with clubs flocking to Park View Road to cast an eye over the attacker.
Coombes came through the ranks at Chelsea, but never made a first-team appearance for the club during his seven years at Stamford Bridge, although he did spend time out on loan with Yeovil Town.
After joining Notts County in 2013 he scored a famous goal in a League Cup tie against Liverpool at Anfield, scoring the equalising goal with his first touch after coming on as a substitute before Liverpool finally went on to win 4-2.
He joined Bromley in January 2016 and then signed for the Wings the folowing summer.
Prior to moving to Gander Green Lane, Welling received two seven-day approaches from two un-named Football League clubs for Coombes.
