Harrogate Town have welcomed Louie Swain back to The CNG Stadium after his brief spell with Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Spennymoor Town.
Swain, who joined Harrogate as a striker in 2014, was redeployed as a left-back by manager Simon Weaver, and went on to enjoy a regular place in his back-four during 2015/16.
It is expected that Swain will be eligible to face Tamworth tomorrow.
Meanwhile, midfielders Joel Purkiss and Andy Gascoigne and goalkeeper Tom Stewart have left the club in search of more regular first-team football.
Gascoigne, who started Harrogate’s opening two matches of the season, was sent out to NPL Premier Division side Frickley Athletic earlier in the season and went on to make just five league appearances this year.
The midfielder, however, will no doubt be best remembered for his acrobatic Emirates FA Cup goal against FC United of Manchester earlier in the year.
Both Purkiss and Stewart had found it more difficult to secure their places in the first-team at the CNG Stadium this season.
