Darlington 1883 have announced the signing of midfielder David Syers.
Syers, who is 28, has left Guiseley AFC from the National League in order to join the Quakers on a contract basis.
He started his career with Ossett Albion, then played for Harrogate Town, Farsley Celtic and Guiseley before joining Bradford City in 2010.
He played fifty-nine times for Bradford, scoring 12 times, then in 2012 he moved on to Doncaster Rovers where he scored 5 times in forty-one matches, Scunthorpe United (46 games and 10 goals) and Rochdale (6 appearances) before being released by them at the end of last season.
He has played twice for Guiseley this season, but has been unable to gain a regular place.
Darlington manager Martin Gray said: “David is a good quality player, and has got plenty of experience.”
