Tadcaster Albion striker Bailey Thompson has signed for Guiseley.

The deal taking the 19-year-old to the National League North Lions is for an undisclosed fee.

Speaking about the departure of the former Tranmere Rovers prospect, Taddy manager Paul Quinn told the club’s website:

“When we met Bailey in the summer, the objective was for him to transition from Tranmere into the senior game and help him progress higher up the ladder. In return, Bailey has helped the club in both the league and cup competitions with his first-class attitude, as his performances have become stronger every week.

“We would have loved for Bailey to complete the season with Tadcaster, but under current circumstances, this move makes sense for everyone involved. Myself, Steve Waide and everyone at the club wish Bailey every success.”
