Angry Tamworth boss Andy Morrell slammed his side’s second-half performance as they threw away a 1-0 lead against struggling Gainsborough Trinity.

Reece Styche had given the Lambs the lead during a dominant first half but the home side somehow contrived to throw away the points, beaten 2-1.

“The second half is just unacceptable,” fumed Morrell. “I thought, first half, we were great.

“We had chances and should have been more goals ahead. We kept the ball very well.

“We looked bright and dominated. The players did the things I had asked.

“The only fault was we were not clinical with our chances.”
