Tamworth have strengthened their squad with the signing of Joe Magunda on dual registration from Leamington.

Primarily a defensive midfielder, 29-year-old Magunda has also been known to fill a variety of roles and has three promotions from Step 3 under his belt.

In Magunda, new Lambs manager Dennis Greene brings in someone who has spent the past six years with Leamington. This switch is with the intention of Magunda gaining more regular game time.

Leamington boss Paul Holleran told the club’s website: “Joe spent a lot of time on the bench last season and so far this season, and he really needs to get games under his belt and match practice. He has joined Tamworth on a dual registration.

“We will continue to monitor him, and hope to see him back at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium in due course.”

Magunda will be available for tonight’s game at home to Evo-Stik League South Premier Division Central leaders Kettering Town.
