Margate have signed Chris Sessegnon from Ryman League Premier Division side Leatherhead.
Sessegnon is a right-back who was with Margate`s league rivals Whitehawk last season and played a part in both games of the play-off semi-finals against one of his former clubs Ebbsfleet United, who won on penalties.
He began his career at Sutton United and in the summer of 2012, he signed for Dover Athletic where he scored one goal in twenty-five appearances.
After signing a new eighteen-month contract for Dover in December 2012, his contract was terminated in the summer of 2013 and he subsequently signed for Ebbsfleet United.
After forty-three appearances, including a Kent Senior Cup final win, the right-back was loaned back to his former club Sutton United in December 2014.
An unsuccessful loan period at Sutton lasted just twenty-three days and Ebbsfleet decided to release Sessegnon soon after and he joined Eastbourne Borough for the remainder of the 2014/15 campaign but he was again released at the end of the season, subsequently joining the Hawks.
He spent a good part of pre-season on trial with League Two side Portsmouth before signing for the Tanners in August.
