New Chesterfield signing Joel Taylor feels he can fit the bill for new manager James Rowe.

Former Kidderminster Harriers full-back Taylor completed his move from Chester yesterday.

He was in from the start in last night’s 1-0 win at Sutton United, even being initially credited with the winning goal, which was later given to Haydn Hollis.

Taylor told the club’s website:

“I’ve heard a lot about the club and the manager and I feel that I will fit right into the manager’s plans, so I’m delighted to be here.

“I like to believe that I’m a very attacking full-back, so I like to get up the pitch and chip in with a few goals and assists, but first and foremost, defensive work is my main priority.”
