Clipstone manager Micky Taylor has opted to step down.

Clipstone are currently 7th in the East Midlands Counties Football League.

The club released the following statement this morning regarding the resignation:

It is with regret that Clipstone Football Club can confirm that Manager Micky Taylor has resigned from his post as Cobras manager with immediate effect. Micky worked extremely hard for the club and brought back a real feel good factor following a disappointing season last year. The Committee would like to thank Micky for all his efforts and we are sorry to see him leave, but wish him all the very best for the future.

Under 21’s manager Steve Smith will take temporary charge for Saturday’s game against Selston Football Club.

The club will make a further announcement in due course regarding a permanent successor.
