Nuneaton Town have allowed midfielder Greg Tempest to join league rivals Gainsborough Trinity on loan for the remainder of the season.
“Greg has been terrific since my appointment,” said Boro manager, Tommy Wright. “He’s a great lad who has showed his versatility by filling in at various positions for the good of the team.
“But he wants to go part-time in the summer and focus on a career outside of the game, so I feel that with him not being selected for the starting XI over the past two weeks, it’s best for all concerned if he goes out on loan to get some regular game time between now and the end of the season.”
Tempest was Nuneaton`s first signing of last summer following his release by National League outfit Lincoln City.
He started his career at Notts County from the age of 16 and made sixteen appearances for the Magpies during his stay there, and also enjoyed time out on loan to Ilkeston FC and Boston United.
After being released by Notts County, Tempest joined up with Lincoln City for the 2015/16 season and made twenty-two appearances for the Imps.
Tempest is also a Northern Ireland international and made six appearances whilst on the books at Notts County.
