Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central club Thame United have signed goalkeeper Niall Clayton on a month` loan from League One neighbours Oxford United to provide cover for the injured Craig Hill.

Birmingham-based Clayton signed his first professional contract with the U`s in the summer of 2018 having had `work experience` and youth loans with North Leigh and Banbury United.

His first club was Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Thame have also signed midfielder Aidan Hawtin.

Hawtin came through the youth system at Oxford United, progressing to earn a one-year professional in 2014.

He had a spell with then-Conference South side Hayes & Yeading United on `work experience` as well as with Banbury United and Brackley Town on similar deals.

After making one senior appearance for Oxford, Hawtin moved to Norwegian fourth-tier outfit Valdres.

However, at he was forced to quit football last year due to a knee injury but is now attempting to resurrect his playing career with United.
