With the England manager’s job now available one of the big names in Take the Mike’s ‘The Beautiful Game’ sitcom declares his interest.
‘As Jim Baxtarse, football coach for struggling Birchester Rovers FC, I’m taking this opportunity to announce my candidature as next football coach of England.
Truth is told I want this job, I deserve this job! Give it to me! (FA take note!) Apparently Roy Hodgson has given me the finger (of support!).
Naturally this seal of approval should boost my prospects no end….
My footballing views are well known; whom to have played to have routed the Russians, skinned the Slovaks or frozen the Icelanders. I can spot talent on and off the football pitch (also in the stands, behind the bike sheds…ahem!)
Love interests aside to secure the confidence of the nation following England’s football exit Euro 2016 (Fexit!); I’ve carefully chosen my coaching staff. They include avid football fan and cabbie, Wallace Doughnut and inept chairman David Welland (‘the nightmare football produced’). God help us all!
With my coaching staff, the nation can remain confident that they won’t see an England team in the final of a major tournament anytime soon. Thank you’…..
