James Rowe has urged his Chesterfield side not to let their play-off chances slip from their grasp.

The Spireites have stormed up the National League table in the past few months but have endured a difficult recent run, with the Bank Holiday weekend bringing defeats against fellow promotion-chasers Hartlepool United and Torquay United.




Town now sit one place and two points outside the play-off positions.

Manager Rowe told the club’s website: “We know if we get the play-offs it will be a miracle from where we were in December, but the chance is here and we can’t throw it away.

“We’ve got to make sure we maintain those performances levels and make sure we focus on set-plays. If we do, I’m sure we’ll go far.”
