Tonbridge Angels have confirmed the departure of D’Sean Theobalds and James Folkes.

On full-back Folkes, manager Steve McKimm told the club’s website: “Folksey always played with his heart on his sleeve and many an opposition defender had cause to fear his wicked crosses from the right-wing. We will all miss his infectious humour and uplifting take on life, and i would like to thank him for his efforts while playing for me and wish him all the very best for the future.”

Midfielder Theobalds, who earned a move to Polish top-flight club Korona Kielce early in 2020, returned to National League South Angels last September.

McKimm said: “With his stay in Europe foreshortened by COVID-19, D’Sean will quite rightly feel he has unfinished business at trying his hand at a higher level, and I wish him all the very best of luck in that regard. I thank him for all his efforts while with us, in particular, the huge part he played in gaining us that promotion to non-league’s second tier.”
