National League fixtures for Saturday 2nd March

The following games will take place this weekend in the National League, gives their view on the likely outcomes:

AFC Fylde v Maidenhead United

Fourth place AFC Fylde take on Maidenhead United at home and with the latter languishing in 16th place, on paper this should be a walk in the park for Fylde.

Aldershot Town v Gateshead

Although Gateshead is playing away, they have the advantage from their current eighth place, with hosts Aldershot sitting uncomfortably in the relegation zone in position 22. The smart money will be on Gateshead to win this one.

Barnet v Barrow

Nineteenth place Barnet are not having the best of times with no sign of a win, so it seems likely that 12th place Barrow, who have won one and draw four of their last games could snatch this one, it seems more likely that this will end in a draw though.

Bromley v Boreham Wood

Another two mid-table teams go head to head, with 11th place hosts Bromley having the stronger record over the last five matches. Boreham Wood had lost their previous three games and moved down the table to 18th. It seems probable that Bromley can steal this one, although even a win will not see them move up the standings.

Dover Athletic v Braintree Town

With both teams sitting at the bottom of the table this could go either way, although with a points difference of 11 the home team looks to be stronger on paper. Braintree really is the lowest of the low in table terms sitting in 24th position with relegation looking certain. This match could well be another that ends in a draw.

Eastleigh v FC Halifax Town

Eastleigh has had a strong season so far and currently sit in 5th place on the table. Halifax has seen a mixed bag leaving them sat in 15th place. With Eastleigh having won their last five matches it would seem likely that they will be the victorious team here with home advantage.

Ebbsfleet United v Salford City

This could be a closely fought match with home team Ebbsfleet sitting in 10th place with visitors Salford currently in 6th with just 5 points separating them on the table. Neither team has been on winning form lately with only one win between in the last ten games. It could well be that this match ends in a draw rather than a victory for either side.

Harrogate Town v Dagenham & Redbridge

Another game that could be quite close with seventh place Harrogate taking on 14th place Dagenham and Redbridge. On paper, both teams have seen something of mixed fortunes over the last five games they have played, with some matches showcase their strengths with other ending in defeat. Statistically, it should go to Harrogate but Dagenham is certainly not going to give up lightly.

Other fixtures this weekend include

Havant & Waterlooville v Leyton Orient
Sutton United v Hartlepool United
Wrexham v Chesterfield
Solihull Moors v Maidstone United
