Lewis Thorogood has resigned as Spalding United manager.
The team are currently 12th in the Northern Premier League South East Division.
Chief executive Leigh Porter has said: “Lewis was appointed manager last season in very difficult circumstances and his efforts at that time were huge. He was part of a group of people that kept the club afloat and we will never forget that.
“Following Saturday’s game (a 3-1 defeat to Chasetown), I had an honest and open conversation with Lewis, who has decided to step aside from the position of first-team manager.”
