Hyde United have announced three new additions to the squad.

Goalkeeper Aidan Winterbottom was reserve keeper for Stalybridge Celtic and stood in for the first-team, as well as playing outfield on two occasions.

Hyde boss Dave McGurk said: “Aidan comes in to provide cover should anything happen to Luke (Mewitt). James Hodges and Thierry Lewis are both currently injured so we have had to move to make sure we are not left short.”

Defender Luis Morrison has had spells at Grays, Dorking, Buxton, Alfreton Town, Nuneaton Town and most recently Stratford Town. McGurk said: “Luis joins us and is available for tomorrow evening.

“He is a player with a real presence and is another one who has impressed in training. He’s vocal and will add strength and leadership down the spine of the team.”

Forward Michael Elstone has had spells at Marine, Glossop North End and most recently Curzon Ashton. He was also involved in the youth teams at Crewe Alexandra, Bangor City and Fulham.

McGurk said: “Michael has been training with us leaving Curzon and he has impressed during that time with us. He’s looked sharp and should be able to come in and hit the ground running.”
