Margate manager Jay Saunders has made some final additions to his squad ahead of Saturday’s season opener versus Brightlingsea Regent.
Chris Sessegnon, Giani Ashley and Harrison Pont have all signed deals at Hartsdown Park for the 2019/20 campaign.
Sessegnon, a firm favourite amongst fans, re-joins the club following a successful pre-season run of games in the side. A versatile option, Sessegnon can be deployed in both defence and midfield.
Ashley joins the club having attended The Gate’s Open Trial back in June. Ashley adds further options to the Margate squad and can slot into a number of roles.
Margate’s final signing of the day is of Harrison Pont. The youngster played for Hollands and Blair, as well as being part of the successful Dover Athletic academy and Kent FA Representative teams last season.
The club also confirm the paperwork has been completed for the departure of duo Rory Head and Connor Wilkins, who have had to leave the club due to work commitments.
