Gloucester City`s striker Ethan Moore has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a scan revealed he has torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

The striker, who only joined the Tigers in the summer after helping Cinderford Town win the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West title last season, picked up the injury in training just two days before the start of the National League North campaign.

A club statement said: “All at Gloucester City are devastated for new striker Ethan Moore following the news that he faces an operation to repair a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). Ethan had shown fine form in pre-season but injured the knee in a seemingly innocuous training ground accident”.
