Midfielder Luke Russe has joined Vanarama National League South club Gloucester City on a month`s loan from League One side Bristol Rovers.

The 19-year-old, who made his full League debut against MK Dons last season, has been a constant feature of Rovers` development squad since its inception.

Prior to his senior bow at Stadium MK, Russe had featured in two EFL Trophy games, firstly the 5-1 win at Wycombe Wanderers before the 3-1 loss at home to West Ham United under-21s.

His further two League appearances came last season two following his debut, coming on as a sub away at Fleetwood Town and Southend United.

This campaign, he has featured in all three of Rovers’ Checkatrade Trophy ties, taking his total appearance to eight.

He was also an integral part of the development squad that claimed the Central League title last season.
