Clipstone F.C. manager Ian Cotton have announced the addition of Danny Tighe to the First team coaching staff.

Danny has been around non league football for many years as a player and recently as a coach with Teversal. It’s important that with us having a young squad that the right information is relayed to the players during training and match days. Danny has that experience and after taking a couple of pre-season training sessions it’s clear the players have responded to him positively.

Danny will join Ian Birtley on the first team coaching staff with Steve Smith also taking the position of u21’s manager along side his role as goalkeeper coach to the first team.

Cotton added that he is in discussions with another coach and hopes to tie that up this week.

With running the u21’s as well this season and already having such a positive turnout to the training sessions it’s paramount that we make the most of any time we have with players.

A lot of the mistakes we made last season can be ironed out on the training ground but only if we have enough staff in attendance.”
